Anthony Kwami Adanuty

Anthony Kwami Adanuty (born May 11, 1940 in Kpandu , Ghana ) is a Ghanaian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Keta-Akatsi .

Anthony Kwami Adanuty was born in Kpandu to John Komla Adanuty and Monica Abla Aghabene. He received his education in Kpandu and Anfoega, later at St. Theresa's Minor Seminary in Amisano and at St. Peter's Major Seminary in Cape Coast .

Anthony Kwami Adanuty received the in Kpandu on July 31, 1966 sacrament of Holy Orders . Years of study at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome and work for the Vatican in the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , where he was responsible for territories in East and South Africa until his appointment as bishop, among other things.

On December 19, 1994, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Keta-Akatsi . The Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, Jozef Tomko , donated him episcopal ordination on May 28, 1995 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Ho , Francis Anani Kofi Lodonu , and the Archbishop of Tamale , Gregory Ebolawola Kpiebaya .

Over the years the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Ghana elected him to chair various bodies such as B. Chairman of the Department of Judicial Matters, Chairman of the Department of Social Communications, Chairman of the Standard Newspapers and Magazines Limited, Chairman of the Department of Socio-Economic Development. Most recently, Anthony Kwami Adanuty was vice-chairman of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Ghana.

On April 7, 2016, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
