Gabriel Edoe Kumordji

Gabriel Edoe Kumordji SVD (born March 24, 1956 in Accra ) is a Ghanaian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Keta-Akatsi .

Life

Gabriel Edoe Kumordji joined the religious order of the Steyler Missionaries , made his profession on December 8, 1980 and was ordained a priest on July 14, 1985 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 12, 2007 as Apostolic Prefect of Donkorkrom . With the elevation to the Apostolic Vicariate on January 19, 2010 he was appointed Apostolic Vicar of Donkorkrom and Titular Bishop of Ita . The Apostolic Nuncio in Ghana, Archbishop Léon Kalenga Badikebele , donated him episcopal ordination on April 17th of the same year ; Co - consecrators were Gabriel Charles Palmer-Buckle , Archbishop of Accra , and Vincent Boi-Nai , Bishop of Yendi .

On March 16, 2017, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Keta-Akatsi. The inauguration took place on May 13 of the same year.
