The church village Dehnberg is a small town belonging to the town of Lauf an der Pegnitz .

The place is somewhat isolated, about three kilometers north of Lauf, on a ridge that is now unwooded. Its original name "Temmelberg" (Tannenberg) gave the village its name.

For a long time, Dehnberg formed a community to which the village of Höflas , the hamlet of Ziegelhütte and the wasteland of Egelsee also belonged. With the municipal territorial reform on January 1, 1977, it was incorporated into the city of Lauf an der Pegnitz.

The place gained national fame through the Dehnberger Hoftheater set up in an old farm .
