The Tower Hill Rodesgrün is an Outbound medieval motte (Motte) 450 meters east of the center of Rodesgrün , a district of Selbitz in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .
The former motte is not far from the Rodesgrün castle stable . A gentle slope gradually descends to the south towards Selbitz and to the east towards Neuhaus and the location offers a good overview in these directions. The location of the tower hill is recognizable as a slight elevation overgrown with a tree and bushes and field stones deposited.
The tower hill is said to have existed in front of the castle and probably served to secure an old road .
