The Burgstall Schartenmauer , also known as Gut Forsteck , is an abandoned medieval castle in Scharten , a district of the municipality of Köditz in the district of Hof in Bavaria .
The Postal was originally a Vorwerk the Murring on Castle Hofeck . It had belonged to the von Berg family since the beginning of the 15th century and was already in ruins a little later . The seat was built on a rock. Traces of a wall and bricks can still be seen.
