Tower Hill Nentschau (Bavaria)
Nentschau tower hill

The tower hill Nentschau is a defunct tower hill castle (Motte) in the north of Nentschau , a current part of the municipality of Regnitzlosau in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .

The castle was named around 1390 as "sycz" (= seat) to "Nempezaw" as a fiefdom of Wolfram Reyczenstein ( Reitzenstein ). Of the former castle complex on a round core hill with ring moat and outer wall on the valley side, only the traces of the terrain without buildings have been preserved. Rubbish is partially deposited in the trench. In the Bavarian premiere , the cultivation of the core hill can be seen in the form of a rectangular garden. The tower hill is still located on major roads, including the state road St 2453 from Regnitzlosau to Posseck , and on the hillside, the two junctions in the town to Prex and Zech can be seen.
