Prex is a district of the municipality of Regnitzlosau in the district of Hof and is three kilometers east of the main town. Translated, Prex means limit . The Czech border is only one kilometer from the village.
geography
To the north lie the neighboring villages of Wieden and Mittelhammer , to the east Kirchbrunnlein and Oberprex , southwest Schwesendorf and Regnitzlosau, west Förtschenbach and northwest Nentschau .
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1345. By 1900 Prex had 268 inhabitants. A school was built in 1827 and expanded in 1891. On December 1, 1910, the village had 459 inhabitants.
On January 1, 1972 Prex was incorporated into Regnitzlosau.
landscape
There is a large area of forest around 200 meters south of the village.
Agriculture
Rape and grain in particular are grown, but vegetables and fruits are also harvested. Forestry is also partially used.

- In the forest, which borders on Prex, there are cycling and hiking trails as well as a nudist facility.
