history

The place was first mentioned in 1348. Since then, Draisendorf has been parish to Kautendorf. In 1402 there were reports of looting and devastation by the bailiffs of Weida , who were therefore accused by the Nuremberg burgraves . The Poor Clare Monastery in court and the monastery Himmelkron had at that time tenant farmers in Draisdorf that over the abbess Longa of Kotzau had come to the monastery. On December 1, 1910, the village had 290 inhabitants. On January 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality was dissolved as part of the Bavarian municipal reform. Their area was awarded to the municipalities of Regnitzlosau and Kautendorf .

In 2007 Draisendorf was the venue for the sixth Hochfrankenspiele.
