Döhlau Castle
Döhlau Castle is a mansion in the Upper Franconian town of Döhlau, known as a castle .
The manor was one of three knight seats in the town. It initially belonged to the knightly noble family of the Rabensteiner zu Döhlau . In the middle of the 17th century, after the family died out, there were rapid changes of ownership with the von Kotzau , Eckersberg , Machwitz and Falkenstein families until it passed to the von Pühel family. The current building was built after a fire in 1702. The von Waldenfels family has owned it since 1791 . Two epitaphs from the Döhlau parish church were placed at the entrance to the residence .
