Adam D'Apuzzo (born October 20, 1986 in Sydney ) is a former Australian football player .

Career

He began his professional career in the NSW Premier League with the Marconi Stallions . Before that he played for St George Saints and Sydney Olympic . In 2006 he got an offer from the A-League club Newcastle Jets , which he accepted. He made his debut for the Jets on September 1, 2006, in the game against Brisbane Roar . In his first season at Newcastle, in which he was regularly used on the left-back position, he was able to score in eleven games. On February 18, 2011 it was announced that D'Apuzzo would be leaving the club. He then met with the management of Sydney FC to negotiate a contract. Contrary to expectations, he signed on June 20, 2011 a contract with the APIA Leichhardt Tigers , a semi-professional football club from New South Wales . In summer 2012 he joined the newly formed A-League club Western Sydney Wanderers . He left the club in December 2014 due to discrepancies in contract details.
