Harskirchen is a part of the municipality of Adlkofen in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut .

location

The hamlet of Harskirchen is located in the upper Aichbachtal about two kilometers east of Adlkofen.

history

Harskirchen was probably built between the eighth and tenth centuries. It is one of the numerous places in the area between Isar and Bina ending in churches , which can be traced back to the aristocratic own church system. The Harskirchers were Salzburg ministerials who had their seat at the old intersection in the clearing area at the Kröninger Forest. Heinrich der Harskircher was even authorized to seal, as is attested in 1261 and 1304 in the traditional notes from Raitenhaslach Monastery . With Hartsprech, who last lived in Zangberg , the male line of Harskirch died out in 1416.

Harskirchen was part of the Reichersdorf supervisory board in the Adlkofen district of the Vilsbiburg district court . Since the community was formed in 1818, Harskirchen has been part of the Adlkofen community.

Attractions

  • St. Andrew's Church. The adjoining church of the Adlkofen parish is the work of the Landshut master mason Felix Hirschstetter and was built in 1743/1744. The late Gothic statues of St. Andreas and St. Barbara still come from the previous church, which was demolished in 1752. The onion dome was replaced by a pointed helmet in the 19th century.
