Reichlkofen is a part of the municipality of Adlkofen in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut .

location

Reichlkofen is located in the Isar-Inn hill country about four kilometers southeast of Adlkofen.

history

Reichlkofen belongs to the noticeable group of 21 -kofen-locations in the area between Isar and Kleiner Vils . In an exchange between the Freising Bishop Wolfram and the noble Markwart von Niederviehbach , dated between 926 and 937, there is talk of a large forest of the Hochstift in the area north of the Kleine Vils. Since the property of Marquart was moved to the northeast by the exchange of goods, the diocese and the people of Markwarts shared the clearing of the area.

Before 1300, the property of the nobles of Zulling , which belonged to Aham Castle, came to the Duke. Among the goods mentioned in the Duke's Surbar there was also a court at Richelchouen , that is, one of the courts of Richelinc, Richelo Agreement, Richo (the rich, mighty).

A Gothic style church was built around 1480. The current neo-Gothic parish church was built in 1876 and replaced the previous church in the same place. The high altar from 1860 was adopted in it. The side altars were built in 1878 and 1879. The parish fair took place in 1879. In 1891 the tower was largely rebuilt. It is dedicated to Saint Michael. In 1730 a teacher and sacristan is mentioned. Reichlkofen belonged to the Ried Obmannschaft during the Bavarian period and after the formation of the community in 1818 to the Dietelskirchen community .

In 1843 the schoolhouse burned down. The building was rebuilt in the same location and expanded in 1871 to accommodate 83 students in grades one through seven. In 1886, the Dietelskirchen community built a second school hall so that the school could be divided into upper and lower grades.

In 1965 the communities Dietelskirchen, Jesendorf and Kröning formed a school association. In 1975, after the completion of the school in Kirchberg, the school in Reichlkofen was given up. It was acquired by the community. Today there are bank rooms, rental apartments and a community hall. The war memorial was inaugurated in 1952 and restored in 1996. The names of the 78 fallen and 17 missing from the parish of Reichlkofen are carved.

While the municipality of Dietelskirchen was incorporated into the municipality of Kröning in the course of the regional reform on April 1, 1971 , Reichlkofen with at least 22 districts of the former municipality of Dietelskirchen was reclassified to Adlkofen on May 1, 1978 at the conclusion of the regional reform .
