The Kleine Vils is the left source river of the Vils in Bavaria .

Upper course

The Kleine Vils arises at about 471  m above sea level. NHN by changing the name of the up to now about 3.7 km long Krumbächlein on the border from the district of Erding to the district of Landshut immediately after the parish village of Burgharting in the Kirchberg community and in front of the Garnzell of Buch am Erlbach . This Krummbächlein flows northwards and has several tributaries, including two that come in at the same point from the west ( Froschbach ) and the east ( Diematinger Graben ) and both exceed it in terms of length and catchment area at their mouth.

The Kleine Vils flows through Garnzell and Vilsheim and then takes an east to north-east course through Altfraunhofen and Geisenhausen . Finally she passes Dietelskirchen , where a reporting station of the flood intelligence service is operated. 700 meters south of Gerzen the Kleine Vils united with the Great Vils to Vils .
