history
Gundihausen, originated around 600, got its place name from Guntwihe, the founder of the Hofmark . The landlady also built the first church in Gundihausen. Around the year 1050 she donated her goods on the Vils with Reichersdorf to the Collegiate Foundation St. Kastulus in Moosburg .
Gundihausen was part of the Reichersdorf committee. With the first community edict of 1808, the Reichersdorf tax district was created, and with the second community edict of 1818, the Reichersdorf community in the Landshut district court . In 1900 the name of the community was changed to "Gundihausen community". The formerly independent municipalities of Vilsheim, Gundihausen and Münchsdorf were merged into the current municipality of Vilsheim in the course of the municipality reform in 1978.
