Diemannskirchen is a district of the Geisenhausen market in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . Until 1978 it formed an independent municipality.

Diemannskirchen is located on the Kleine Vils about three kilometers northeast of Geisenhausen on the state road 2054.

history

The place is mentioned for the first time between 926 and 936 under the Freising Bishop Wolfram. At that time, the noble Marawart exchanged his property at Terremareschirichun for the entire property of the Freising Cathedral of St. Maria near Helmsdorf, northeast of Diemannskirchen. The name of the place probably goes back to a Dietmar's own church. The diocese of Freising had substantial property here, which was exchanged with the bishop of Augsburg in an exchange document from between 1039 and 1047.

In the tax register of 1482, Tarmaßkirchen belonged to the chairmanship of Hungerham and Buch of the office and court of Biburg (Vilsbiburg). 1752 was one of twelve Diemannskirchen property to chairman stem vine village in office Kirchberg the District Court Vilsbiburg .   • Filial church St. Margaretha. The hall church with retracted choir is a late Romanesque complex from the 13th century. The choir was vaulted in the 15th century, the vaults of the nave and the west tower with pointed helmet date from 1882. The furnishings are neo-Gothic.
