history
In the 10th century Dietelskirchen belonged to the parish of Oberviehbach . After it was upgraded to an expositur in 1689 , it got its own pastor. In 1747 it became an independent parish.
The former parish church of St. Ulrich was built in the 13th century and rebuilt and expanded in the Baroque style in the 17th century . It is said to have been one of the oldest churches in the area and was demolished in 1921 due to disrepair. Its baroque interior (high altar with the figures of St. Florian, Ulrich, Johann Evangelist and Leonhard, two side altars with figures of St. Joachim and Anna, pulpit and 14 stations of the cross) was given to the Bernried Church of the parish of Stamsried near Kötzting .
20th century
On April 1, 1971 Dietelskirchen was incorporated into the municipality of Kröning as part of the municipal reform. At the end of the regional reform on May 1, 1978, parts of the former community of Dietelskirchen were reclassified to the neighboring community of Adlkofen to the west .
Before the regional reform, the municipality of Dietelskirchen consisted of the following districts:
