Oberviehbach is a district of the community of Niederviehbach in the Lower Bavarian district of Dingolfing-Landau . Until 1971 it formed an independent municipality.

location

Oberviehbach is located on the Viehbach about three kilometers south of Niederviehbach in the Isar-Inn hill country .

history

In the early documents, no distinction is made between Niederviehbach and Oberviehbach. In a document from King Arnulf from the year 890 , the pagus Viohbach , the Viehbachgau, is mentioned for the first time . The bishopric of Bamberg established an "Obley", a stately economic property, by Bishop Adalbero in Oberviehbach. The Obley of the Hochstift existed until 1594, when Johann Gottfried Graf von Königsfeld acquired it. The closed Hofmark Oberviehbach in the area of the Teisbach Regional Court remained in the possession of the Counts of Königsfeld. The village of Oberviehbach consisted of 48 properties in 1752.

In the course of the formation of the community, Oberviehbach was separated from the Niederviehbach tax district as a separate community. It came from the Vilsbiburg regional court to the new Dingolfing regional court by a government decision of October 17, 1838 . The community then belonged to the district office of Dingolfing, established in 1862, and after the renaming in 1939 to the district of Dingolfing . Districts were Höll, Hörglkofen, Walperstetten , Wimpassing, Wimperstetten and Reit. With effect from April 1, 1971, the municipality of Oberviehbach was incorporated into the municipality of Niederviehbach as part of the regional reform .
