Garnzell is a district of the municipality of Buch am Erlbach in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . Until 1971 it formed an independent municipality.

Garnzell is about five kilometers east of Buch am Erlbach.
history
Garnzell belonged to Hofmark Vilsheim in the Middle Ages and the early modern period . The municipality of Garnzell existed since 1818 as a result of the reforms of Count Montgelas . It comprised the places Vatersdorf (municipality seat), Bendlreuth, Dirnaibach, England, Garnzell, Holzen, Holzhäuseln, Holzmühl (connected with wooden houses), Laufenau, Ried, Rothenkasten, Sochenberg, Thann, Tristl a.Damm and Westendorf. On October 1, 1971, the communities of Buch a.Erlbach and Garnzell merged.
