The Tower Hill Old Castle is an Outbound Wasserburg the type of Turmhügelburg (moth) on an island ( 330 m above sea level. NHN ) between two streams of Haßlach on the southern edge of Haßlach , in the municipality of Stockheim in the district of Kronach in Bavaria .
The lords of Haßlach and then the lords of Cappel are named as owners of the castle until 1307. In 1434 the castle is mentioned as a Bamberg fief . After the castle was destroyed in 1525 during the peasant war , it was rebuilt. After its destruction in 1633 in the course of the Thirty Years War , it was demolished for the extraction of building material.
