Haßlach bei Kronach (officially: Haßlach b.Kronach ) is a district of the municipality of Stockheim in the Upper Franconian district of Kronach in Bavaria .

geography

The church village is centrally located in the Kronach district near the Franconian Forest Nature Park . The federal highways 85 and 89 lead through the village . The Haßlach flows past the village.

history

The first mention was indirect in 1307, when Albert von der Cappel zu Haßlach and his wife, daughter of Ulrich von Haßlach, moved to estates in Eila, Brauersdorf, Lauterbach (near Posseck, sold) and in the Grün near Reitsch in favor of the Langheim Abbey waived. The Reformation introduced in Burggrub in 1567 also prompted the von der Cappel men to convert. In 1631 Georg Wolfgang von der Cappel died without male descendants. The manors Haßlach and Stockheim fell to the bishopric of Bamberg . In 1639, Bishop Franz von Hatzfeld finally donated the two goods to the city of Kronach for their loyalty and bravery in the fight against the Swedes during the Thirty Years War . Since then, Haßlach has been part of the Neukenroth parish again.

Haßlach passed through the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss in 1803 together with the remaining areas of the bishopric into the possession of the Electorate of Bavaria . In 1871 the village had 26 residential buildings and 177 residents, of whom 174 were Catholics and 3 were Protestants. In 1925, 298 people lived in 40 residential buildings. The Catholic school was in Reitsch , 1.5 kilometers away , and the Protestant school in Burggrub, 2.5 kilometers away. In 1970 Haßlach had 595 inhabitants.

St. John

On January 1, 1975, Haßlach was incorporated into Stockheim.

After the purchase of the church property in 1971 and the inauguration of the new cemetery in 1973, the consecration of the new church of St. John the Baptist, a branch church of the Catholic parish of Neukenroth , followed on June 18, 1978 by the Bamberg Auxiliary Bishop Martin Wiesend . A common room was added to the church in 1995.
