Gräfenbuch (colloquially: Grefmbūch ) is a district of the market Lehrberg in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The Sulzbach , a right tributary of the Franconian Rezat , flows through the church village , to which the Rehbach flows from the right . In the northwest lies the wooded Lange Berg ( 482  m above sea level ), in the north across another stream the Hochholz , approx. 0.75 km southwest of the Heßbach tendrils and the Hag forest area .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1347 as "Buch bei Lerpaur" (= Lehrberg), and in 1433 as "Greuenbuch". The place name indicates a beech forest that was owned by counts. It remains to be seen whether these were the Counts of Dachstetten.

The oldest building in the village is the St. Peter and Paul Church , a branch church of Lehrberg. It was created around 1430. The two-storey Gothic choir tower with arched sound openings and a four-sided pyramid roof, which was built from quarry stone and ashlar masonry, has been preserved from this time.

In the 16-point report of the Principality of Ansbach from 1684, 16 teams were specified for Graefenbuch. One property was subordinate to the Hofkastenamt Ansbach , one property to the Birkenfels Vogtamt , one property to the Sulz monastery administrator , three properties to the Trautskirchen manor , one property of the Imperial City of Nuremberg , six properties of the Eichstätt monastery and three properties of the community (forge, bath and shepherd's house). The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach. The village and community rule was exercised by the Hochstift Eichstätt, but this was denied by the Hofkastenamt Ansbach.

At the end of the 18th century there were 17 properties in Gräfenbuch. The high court continued to exercise the court box office in Ansbach. The village and community rulership was held by the Eichstättische Vogtamt Lehrberg . The landlords were the Principality of Ansbach (Hofkastenamt Ansbach: 1 house; Vogtamt Birkenfels: 1 Tafernwirtschaft , 1 Gütlein; Monastery Administrator Sulz: 1 courtyard), the Eichstättische Propsteiamt Herrieden (1 courtyard, 6 half courtyards, 2 estates), the manor Rügland of the Lords of Crailsheim (3 estates) and the Nuremberg owner von Löffelholz (1 estate). In addition to the property, there was also the church and communal buildings (blacksmith shop, shepherd's house, bathhouse). At that time there were 18 subject families, 12 of which were Ansbachian. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

In 1806 Graefbuch came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, the tax district Gräfenbuch was formed in 1808 , to which Gräfenbuch, Ober- and Unterheßbach and Zailach belonged. The rural community of Graefenbuch was founded in 1811 and was congruent with the tax district. It was subordinate to the Ansbach Regional Court in administration and jurisdiction and to the Ansbach Rent Office ( renamed Ansbach Tax Office in 1920 ). On September 13, 1827, Zailach was re-congregated to Lehrberg and Ober- and Unterheßbach were approved to form the rural community of Heßbach . In the voluntary jurisdiction, three properties in Gräfenbuch were subordinate to the Rügland Patrimonial Court from 1820 to 1848 .

From 1862 on, Gräfenbuch was administered by the Ansbach District Office (renamed the Ansbach District in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court of Ansbach until 1870, 1870-1879 city and district court Ansbach , since 1880 district court Ansbach . The municipality had an area of 3.993 km². As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , Graefenbuch was incorporated into Lehrberg on January 1, 1974.
