history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1274 as "Bullingspach". The defining word of the place name is the personal name Bulling. A person of this name can be assumed to be the founder of the settlement.

In the 16-point report of the Oberamt Ansbach from 1684 eight teams were given for Buhlsbach with the Buhls- and Dauersmühle . Three properties were subordinate to the Hofkastenamt Ansbach and five properties to the Hochstift Eichstätt . The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach. The village and community rulership was held by the Brandenburg-Ansbach Vogtamt Lehrberg .

Towards the end of the 18th century there were eight properties in Buhlsbach with the two mills. The high court continued to exercise the court box office in Ansbach. The village and community rulership was held by the Brandenburg-Ansbach Vogtamt Lehrberg. The landlords were the Hofkastenamt Ansbach (1 yard, 2 mills) and the Eichstättische Provosteiamt Herrieden (5 estates). In addition to the property, there were communal buildings (shepherd's house, crushing house ). From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the community edict, Buhlsbach was assigned to the Lehrberg tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Lehrberg, founded in 1811 .
