Untersulzbach (colloquially: Und ə súltsba ) is a district of the Lehrberg market in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The Sulzbach, which is a right tributary of the Franconian Rezat , flows through the village . Immediately to the east, the Kümmelbach flows into the Sulzbach as a left tributary. To the northwest lies the forest area Kleiner Lenker and in the northeast the Große Lenker with the Long Mountain ( 482  m above sea level ) and in the south lies the Kapellenwald .

The district road AN 2 runs through the village and leads to Obersulzbach (1.7 km to the west) or to Birkach (0.8 km to the east). A community road leads to Berndorf (1.3 km southwest).

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1169 together with Obersulzbach as "in inferiori Sulzbach". The place name is derived from the water body of the same name, which got its name because of its salt content.

In the 16-point report of the Ansbach Regional Office from 1684, nine teams were listed for Untersulzbach. Two properties (one farm, one estate) were subordinate to the Ansbach court box office , four properties to the Ansbach monastery office , two properties to the Lords of Crailsheim zu Rügland and one property belonging to the Burgbernheim parish. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach. The village and community rulership was held by the Brandenburg-Ansbach Vogtamt Birkenfels .

Towards the end of the 18th century there were ten properties in Untersulzbach. The high court continued to exercise the court box office in Ansbach. The village and community rulership was held by the Birkenfels Vogtamt. The landlords were the Principality of Ansbach (Hofkastenamt Ansbach: 1 Halbhof, 1 Köblergut ; Stiftsamt Ansbach: 2 Halbhöfe, 1 Köblergut, 1 Gütlein, 1 house), the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Schultheißenamt Markt Bergel (1 Halbhof) and the Rittergut Rügland (2 Köblergut) . In addition to the property, there were also communal buildings (shepherd's house, breaker's house ). At that time there were 12 subject families, 9 of which were Ansbachian. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

Under the municipal edict, Untersulzbach was assigned to the Obersulzbach tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Obersulzbach, founded in 1811 . In voluntary jurisdiction, two properties were subordinate to the Rügland Patrimonial Court from 1820 to 1848 .

In the course of the regional reform , Untersulzbach was incorporated into Lehrberg on May 1, 1978.
