history

The place was first mentioned in the Würzburger Lehenbuch , which must have originated between 1303 and 1313, as "Dawenmul". The defining word of the place name is the personal name Dauo. A person of this name can be assumed to be the founder of the settlement.

Towards the end of the 18th century, the permanent mill belonged to Buhlsbach . The mill had the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach as landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the permanent mill was given house numbers 1 and 2 in Buhlsbach. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the community edict, Dauersmühle was assigned to the Lehrberg tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Lehrberg, founded in 1811 .
