history

The first mention by name that clearly refers to this place was in 1342 as "Hurbel". The place name is derived from the Old High German word "horwilin", a diminutive of "horo, horwes" (= swamp, dirt, excrement).

In the 16-point report of the Oberamt Ansbach from 1684 eight teams were listed for Hürbel: All properties (six half-yards, two estates) had the Hofkastenamt Ansbach as landlord . The high court and the village and community authority exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbachische Hofkastenamt Ansbach. Four half courtyards were still deserted as a result of the Thirty Years' War .

Towards the end of the 18th century there were eleven properties in Hürbel (6 half courtyards, 1 quarter courtyard, 2 estates, 1 estate, 1 small house). The court office of Ansbach continued to exercise the high court, the village and community rulership and the lordship over all properties. There were 10 subject families at that time. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the community edict, Hürbel was assigned to the Neunkirchen near Leutershausen tax district formed in 1809 . With the new formation of the tax district Neuses near Ansbach on June 23, 1810, the change took place there. It also belonged to the rural community of Neuses near Ansbach, founded in 1811 . In the course of the second municipal edict (1818), Hürbel was re- municipalityed to Lehrberg. On August 16, 1840, the formation of the rural community Zailach was approved, to which Hürbel also belonged. In the course of the regional reform this was incorporated into Lehrberg on January 1, 1972.
