history

The place was first mentioned in 1433 as "Rodsdorff". The defining word of the place name is the personal name Rodi. A person of this name can be assumed to be the founder of this settlement.

In 1572, Margravine Emilie acquired the hamlet's three farms. In 1607 the three farms were bought by the Counts of Mansfeld . In 1610, Margrave Joachim Ernst von Brandenburg – Ansbach freed the place from all sovereign burdens such as interest, validity, tax or compulsory labor. In the following years, the place often changed hands. In 1662, Sophia Margarete, the wife of Albrecht von Brandenburg-Ansbach, sold the estate to Christian Friedrich von Crailsheim . In the 16-point report of the Principality of Ansbach from 1684, the three farms in Rösdorf were combined into one team, which had the Hofkastenamt Ansbach as landlord . The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach.

In the Oberamtsbeschreibung by Johann Georg Vetter from 1732, the place was first referred to as "Röshoff".

Towards the end of the 18th century there were five properties in Röshof (1 three-quarter courtyard, 1 quarter courtyard, 1 economy, 1 house, 1 empty house ). The high court exercised the court box office in Ansbach. All properties had the Hofkastenamt Ansbach as landlord. There were two subject families at that time. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the municipal edict, Röshof was assigned to the Brünst tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Brünst, founded in 1811 . In the course of the territorial reform , this was incorporated into Lehrberg on January 1, 1978.
