history

With the ordinance of August 19, 1808, Montgelas reorganized the tax authorities and let tax offices take over the financial management . This led to the dissolution of the Ansbach Chamber of Commerce , the district of which roughly corresponded to the Ansbach Oberamt . In its place came the Rent Office Ansbach and the Rent Office Herrieden . The Ansbach Rent Office was only responsible for the area of the newly created Ansbach Regional Court . This was divided into 26 tax districts. In 1880 the Colmberg Rent Office was abolished and its area of responsibility was incorporated into the Ansbach Rent Office. As part of the Weimar Agreement , the Rent Office was transferred to the newly established Reich Finance Administration on October 1, 1919 . On April 1, 1920 the name was changed to Finanzamt Ansbach. From January 1, 1929, this was also responsible for the area of the tax offices in Heilsbronn and Herrieden, which were dissolved at the same time .

In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria , the districts of Dinkelsbühl , Feuchtwangen , Rothenburg and the independent cities of Dinkelsbühl and Rothenburg were added to the old district of Ansbach . The Feuchtwangen tax office was dissolved, while the Dinkelsbühl and Rothenburg tax offices were converted into branches in 1973. In the same year, some communities were ceded by the Gunzenhausen tax office .
