Brückla is a district of Hohenleuben in the Greiz district in Thuringia .

The street village of Brückla is located 2 km south of Hohenleuben on the state road 1083 in the north-eastern Thuringian slate mountains .

history

On January 8, 1488, Brückla was first mentioned in a document. The place name indicates a paved access road or dam. In 1957 the place was incorporated into Hohenleuben.

Buildings

  • In the place was a manor of the princely family. Its last structural remains were removed in 1992.
  • To the south-east of Brückla was the Tumelle ramparts , a medieval hilltop castle . All that remains of the castle is a pile of rubble. The place has 250 inhabitants.
