coat of arms

Coat of arms of the community of Offenberg
Blazon : "In silver over a red tin shield base, a three-lobed red flag with golden fringes and three golden rings."

The coat of arms has been used since 1982.

Justification for the coat of arms: The base of the pinnacle shield is intended to underline the importance of the castle and the Offenberg Hofmark for the history of the community. The three-lobed flag is taken from the coat of arms of Count Anton von Montfort, who was the owner of Hofmark Offenberg from 1688 to 1724 and had the castle built, which still defines the townscape today. The three-lobed flag can also be found as a coat of arms in the copper engraving of the castle made by Michael Wening and has therefore long been anchored in the consciousness of the population.
