Kleinschwarzach is a district of the Offenberg community in the Deggendorf district in Lower Bavaria .

location

Kleinschwarzach is located on the north bank of the Danube at the mouth of the Schwarzach about two kilometers south of Offenberg.

history

A bowl found near Kleinschwarzach is attributed to the bell beaker culture from the end of the Neolithic Age.

When the tax districts were formed in 1808, Kleinschwarzach was added to the Metten tax district. But because Kleinschwarzach belonged to the parish and school Neuhausen , it came with Neuhausen to the community of Offenberg when the community was formed in 1821.

On May 8, 1831, Kleinschwarzach, together with the districts of Neuhausen, Hubing and Unterried, asked the king to be separated from the Offenberg community and assigned to the city of Deggendorf by the police , but this was finally rejected on March 10, 1832. On January 7, 1862, a fire broke out in the barn belonging to the farmer Fierlbeck, which caused considerable damage.

To the west of Kleinschwarzach, on October 5, 1988, the nature reserve "Vogelfreistätte gray heron colony near Kleinschwarzach" was established with the areas "breeding biotope" and "food biotope".
