Kühbach is part of the Floß market in the Upper Palatinate district in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district .

Geographical location

Kühbach is located about 500 meters south of Floß on the eastern slope of the 536 meter high dome and on State Road 2181 .

history

16th Century

In the tax register of 1516 Kühbach (also: Kuebach) was mentioned with 2 farmers.

The tax book of 1541 counted 2 farmers, 7 horses, 15 cattle, 6 young cattle, 37 sheep and 8 pigs in Kühbach.

In the Salbuch of 1598 Kühbach was named with three farms and a shepherd. The farmers Paulßen Meierhöfer, Andreßen Hegen and Heinz Eißmann sat on these farms.

In Vogel's map from 1600, Kühbach is shown with five buildings.

17th century

During the Thirty Years War in 1620 and 1621 the Mansfeld soldiers marched through Kühbach. They robbed the farmers of 13 cows, 9 heifers , 1 calf, 5 oxen, 10 sheep, 3 pigs, 12 geese, 50 hens, 2 ducks, 1 1/2 eight liters of grain, 2 eight liters of oats, 10 measure of lard, 2 (men -) Skirts, 2 leather doublets, 14 towels, 5 sacks, 4 sheets, 1 tablecloth and several items of clothing (hoods, collars, etc.), various household items. 3 chests were cut up and the locks taken away. A list of damages for Kühbach from 1621 showed a total of 302 guilders and 47 cruisers.

In an inventory of the Count Palatine of Palatinate-Sulzbach Christian August from 1661, Kühbach was listed with two farms of the owners Hannß Löb and Adam Högen.

18th century

A description of the Princely Nursing Office Floßerbürg from 1704 recorded 2 teams, 2 farms for Kühbach.

In a historical-statistical description of the Floß care office from 1794, 2 farmers, 1 day laborer, 1 shepherd, a total of 30 residents were listed for Kühbach.

Around 1800 Kühbach had 4 houses and 28 inhabitants.

19th century to the present

Kühbach belonged to the Boxdorf tax district, which was founded at the beginning of the 19th century . The Boxdorf tax district had a total of 93 residents and 10 residential buildings.

Kühbach belonged to the rural community Schönbrunn. The rural community Schönbrunn consisted of the villages Schönbrunn, Boxdorf, Hardt and Haupertsreuth and the hamlets of Kühbach and Würzelbrunn. The village of Kühbach had 42 residents and 4 residential buildings in 1817, 31 residents in 1861 and 21 residents and 5 residential buildings in 1961.

On January 1, 1972, the community of Schönbrunn and thus also Kühbach was incorporated into the Floß market.
