Weikersmühle is located on the eastern outskirts of Floß on State Road 2395 on the south bank of the Floß .

history

13th to 16th centuries

Weikersmühle (also: Wildenmuel, Wildenmül, Weickersmul, Weyckersmül) was listed in the Lower Bavarian Salbuch . This Salbuch comes from the period between 1269 and 1320. The following localities belonging to Floß were named in this directory: Bergnetsreuth, Boxdorf, Diepoltsreuth, Ellenbach, Gösen, Grafenreuth, Hardt, Haupertsreuth, Kalmreuth, Niedernfloß, Oberndorf, Pauschendorf, Ritzlersreuth, Schlattein, Schönberg, Weikersmühle, Welsenhof, Würnreuth, Würzelbrunn.

Weikersmühle was also mentioned in the Bohemian Salbüchlein . The Böhmisches Salbüchlein contained records from the period from 1366 to 1373 for all the places that were mentioned in the Lower Bavarian Salbuch cited above and also Plankenhammer as hamer zu Mekenhofen .

17th century

During the Thirty Years' War in 1620 and 1621 the Mansfeld soldiers marched through Weikersmühle. They robbed the farmers of 12 sheep and 2 lambs. A list of damages for Weikersmühle from 1621 showed a total of 13 guilders .

In 1650 the hereditary homage to Count Palatinate of Palatinate-Sulzbach Christian August took place in the courtyard of the Friedrichsburg in Vohenstrauss . Weikersmühle appears on the tribute list with a farm owner: Caspar Fuchs.

In 1652 Weikersmühle was described as having a mill with 2 grinding speeds and a cutting saw. Its residents at that time were 1 married couple with 3 underage children and 2 adult children. The cattle consisted of 2 oxen, 3 cows, 9 young cattle and 4 pigs.

Around 1800 Weikersmühle had 1 houses and 7 residents.

Weikersmühle belonged to the Gösen tax district , which was founded in the early 19th century and was also a rural community . In addition to Gosen, the Gosen tax district also included the village of Konradtsreuth, the hamlet of Plankenhammer and the wasteland of Weikersmühle. The tax district of Gosen had a total of 176 inhabitants and 24 residential buildings.

The village Weikersmühle had 7 inhabitants and 1 residential building in 1817, 16 inhabitants in 1861 and 11 inhabitants and 2 residential buildings in 1961. On January 1, 1972, the community of Gösen and thus Weikersmühle was incorporated into the Floß market.
