Hardt is part of the Floß market in the Upper Palatinate district in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district .

Geographical location

Hardt is about 500 meters east of Floß on the north bank of the Hardtbach on the road from Floß to Schönbrunn.

history

13th and 14th centuries

Hardt (also: Hord, Harde) was listed in the Lower Bavarian Salbuch . Its residents had to pay 2 mutt grain (rye) to Dietrich Protschrein in Floß every year . This Salbuch comes from the period between 1269 and 1320. The following localities belonging to Floß were named in this directory: Bergnetsreuth, Boxdorf, Diepoltsreuth, Ellenbach, Gösen, Grafenreuth, Hardt, Haupertsreuth, Kalmreuth, Niedernfloß, Oberndorf, Pauschendorf, Ritzlersreuth, Schlattein, Schönberg, Weikersmühle, Welsenhof, Würnreuth, Würzelbrunn.

Hardt was also mentioned in the Bohemian Salbüchlein . It paid 2 mutt grain, and 2 mutt oat tax a year. The Böhmisches Salbüchlein contained records from the period from 1366 to 1373 for all the places that were mentioned in the Lower Bavarian Salbuch cited above and also Plankenhammer as hamer zu Mekenhofen .

15th and 16th centuries

Hardt is recorded in the Salbuch from 1416/1440. Hauß aus Floß owned a farm in Hardt. The following 6 farming families in Hardt were named: Wollfahrt Pelder, Erhardt Proßler, Böhemb, Trescher, Erhardt des Proßlein’s son, Kaintz Morold. The annual taxes for all 6 farms together amounted to 4 mutt 1/2 eight liters of grain, 5 mutt 5 eight liters of oats, 3 chickens.

This Salbuch, with information about the localities belonging to Floß, dates from 1416 to 1440. The following localities belonging to Floß appeared in it, as in the two older Salbuch: Bergnetsreuth, Boxdorf, Diepoltsreuth, Ellenbach, Gosen, Grafenreuth, Hardt, Haupertsreuth , Niedernfloß, Oberndorf, pack village, Ritzlersreuth, Schlattein, Schönberg, Welsenhof, Würnreuth, Würzelbrunn. The following five teams were recorded for Hardt: Connz Reuschel, Ulrich Eysmann, Niclas Pogner, Ulrich Jacob, Michaell Eysmann.

17th century

During the Thirty Years' War in 1620 and 1621 the Mansfeld soldiers marched through Hardt. They robbed the farmers of money, cattle, grain, food, clothing, linen, beds, copper pans and pots, tools, weapons, etc., fished the ponds, and burned and destroyed the farms. A damage report for Hardt from 1621 showed a total damage of 815 guilders and 25 cruisers.

In 1650 the hereditary homage to Count Palatinate of Palatinate-Sulzbach Christian August took place in the courtyard of the Friedrichsburg in Vohenstrauss . Hardt appears on the homage list with the 5 farm owners: Steffan Beer, Hannß Stahl, Endres Jaccob, Hannß Bauer, Michael Gollwitzer.

In 1652 Hardt is described with 1 courtyard, 1 two-thirds courtyard, 2 half-courtyards, 1 third courtyard. Its inhabitants at that time were 5 farmers, namely 4 married couples, 1 widower and 15 children. The cattle consisted of 11 oxen, 4 cows, 8 young cattle, 7 pigs and 6 sheep.

18th century

A description of the Princely Nursing Office Floßerbürg from 1704 recorded 5 teams, one rear seat and 3 yards for Hardt .

In a historical-statistical description of the Floß nursing office from 1794, 5 farmers, 1 shepherd, a total of 50 inhabitants were listed for Hardt.

By 1800 Hardt had 6 houses and 38 residents.

19th century to the present

Hardt belonged to the tax district and the rural community Schönbrunn, which had been formed at the beginning of the 19th century. In addition to Schönbrunn, the Schönbrunn tax district also included the villages of Hardt and Haupertsreuth and the hamlet of Würzelbrunn. The Schönbrunn tax district had a total of 241 residents and 34 residential buildings.

The rural community Schönbrunn consisted of the villages Schönbrunn, Boxdorf, Hardt and Haupertsreuth and the hamlets of Kühbach and Würzelbrunn. The village of Hardt had 47 inhabitants and 7 residential buildings in 1817, 48 inhabitants in 1861 and 219 inhabitants and 28 residential buildings in 1961.

On January 1, 1972, the community of Schönbrunn and thus also Hardt was incorporated into the Floß market.
