13th and 14th centuries

Bergnetsreuth (also: Perngersreut, Berngersreut, Berngersreuth, Peringersreuth, Beringersreuth, Bernigersreuth, Beringsreut, Peringerßrieth) was listed in the Lower Bavarian Salbuch . The residents of Bergnetsreuth had to pay 8 mutt grain (rye) tax every year. This Salbuch comes from the period between 1269 and 1320. The following localities belonging to Floß were named in this directory: Bergnetsreuth, Boxdorf, Diepoltsreuth, Ellenbach, Gösen, Grafenreuth, Hardt, Haupertsreuth, Kalmreuth, Niedernfloß, Oberndorf, Pauschendorf, Ritzlersreuth, Schlattein, Schönberg, Weikersmühle, Welsenhof, Würnreuth, Würzelbrunn.

17th century

During the Thirty Years' War in 1620 and 1621 the Mansfeld soldiers marched through Bergnetsreuth. They robbed the farmers of money, cattle, grain, food, clothing, linen, beds, copper pans and pots, tools, weapons, etc., fished the ponds, and burned and destroyed the farms. A damage list for Bergnetsreuth from 1621 showed a total of 1437 guilders and 32 cruisers.

In 1650 the hereditary homage to Count Palatinate of Palatinate-Sulzbach Christian August took place in the courtyard of the Friedrichsburg in Vohenstrauss . Bergnetsreuth appears on the list of homage with the 10 farm owners: Georg Singer, Hannß Vorster, Gilg Lintner, Partl Stahl, Hannß Roth, Davidt Roth, Uhlerich Kunst, Wolff Birnheupel, Fridterich Meyher, Adam Ridl.

18th century

A description by the Princely Nursing Office Floßerbürg from 1704 recorded 12 teams, 7 farms, 1 farm, 1 mill and 3 houses for Bergnetsreuth.

In a table from 1792 and a historical-statistical description of the Floß maintenance office from 1794, 7 farmers, 1 miller, 1 weaver, a blacksmith, 1 grocer, 1 shepherd, 12 officials, a total of 82 residents were listed for Bergnetsreuth.

A handicraft table from 1800 gave information about the number of master craftsmen, journeymen and apprentices in the office raft. In Bergnetsreuth there was 1 master tailor, 1 master linen weaver.

Around 1800 Bergnetsreuth had 13 houses and 92 inhabitants.

19th century to the present

At the beginning of the 19th century Bergnetsreuth became a tax district and at the same time a rural community . In addition to Bergnetsreuth with its mill, the hamlets of Fehrsdorf, Pauschendorf, and Welsenhof and the wilderness of Wilkershof also belonged to the Bergnetsreuth tax district. The Bergnetsreuth tax district had a total of 190 residents and 19 residential buildings.

Bergnetsreuth had 91 inhabitants and 13 residential buildings in 1817, 105 inhabitants in 1861 and 66 inhabitants and 12 residential buildings in 1961. On January 1, 1972, the Bergnetsreuth community was incorporated into the Floß market.
