Wilkershof is part of the Floß market in the Upper Palatinate district in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district .

Geographical location

Wilkershof is located about four kilometers southwest of Floß on the south bank of the Girnitz on the northern slope of the 530 meter high Weberbühl.

history

15th and 16th centuries

Wilkershof (also: Wickershoff, Wilckershoff, Wilkerßhoff) was listed in the Salbuch from 1416/1440. The two farming families Michel and Ludersackh were mentioned here. Both farmers had to provide Nachzill . As a flocking service , Michel had to plow, move wood and fertilize when asked. The annual taxes for the two farms together amounted to: 3  eight liters of grain, 2 eight liters of oats, 2 cheese, 20 eggs, 2 chickens. At Walburgi and Michelstag , the two farmers together had to pay 5 shillings and 6 pfennigs.

17th century

During the Thirty Years War in 1620 and 1621 the Mansfeld soldiers marched through Wilkershof. They robbed the farmers of 16 chickens, smoked bacon and meat, 5 measures of lard, 1 pair of trousers, 1 doublet, 1 smock, thread, salt, and 2 windows were smashed. A damage list for Wilkershof from 1621 showed a total of 10 guilders and 5 kreuzers.

In 1650 the hereditary homage to Count Palatinate of Palatinate-Sulzbach Christian August took place in the courtyard of the Friedrichsburg in Vohenstrauss . Wilkershof appears on the tribute list with a farm owner: Hannß Filchner.

In 1652 Wilkershof is described as having a farm. Its residents at that time were 1 married couple with 2 children. The cattle consisted of 3 oxen, 2 cows and 1 pig.

18th century to the present

In a historical-statistical description of the Floß nursing office from 1794, 1 farmer, 1 day laborer, a total of 11 residents were listed for Wilkershof.

Around 1800 Wilkershof had 1 house and 5 residents.

Wilkershof belonged to the tax district and the rural community Bergnetsreuth, which was formed at the beginning of the 19th century. In addition to Bergnetsreuth with its mill, the hamlets of Fehrsdorf, Pauschendorf, and Welsenhof and the wilderness of Wilkershof also belonged to the Bergnetsreuth tax district. The Bergnetsreuth tax district had a total of 190 residents and 19 residential buildings.

The village of Wilkershof had 8 inhabitants and 1 residential building in 1817, 6 inhabitants in 1861 and 6 inhabitants and 1 residential building in 1961. On January 1, 1972, the municipality of Bergnetsreuth and thus also Wilkershof was incorporated into the Floß market.
