Fehrsdorf is part of the Floß market in the Upper Palatinate district in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district .

Geographical location

Fehrsdorf is about five kilometers southwest of Floß am Elzenbach and near the road from Floß to Theisseil between the 530 meter high Weberbühl in the east and the 595 meter high Streit in the west.

15th and 16th centuries

Fehrsdorf (also: Verchersdorf, Verherstorff, Vörhersdorff) was listed in the Salbuch from 1416/1440. The taxes for Fehrsdorf amounted to 1 eightl 7 Nepf grain (rye), 1 eighth 3 Nepf barley, 2 Muth 4 Nepf oats.

This Salbuch, with information about the localities belonging to Floß, dates from the period 1416 to 1440. The following localities belonging to Floß appeared in it: Bergnetsreuth, Boxdorf, Diepoltsreuth, Ellenbach, Fehrsdorf, Gailertsreuth, Gösen, Grafenreuth, Hardt, Haupertsreuth, Konradsreuth, Meierhof, Niedernfloß, Oberndorf, pack village, Ritzlersreuth, Schlattein, Schönberg, Welsenhof, Wilkershof, Würnreuth, Würzelbrunn. The places Kalmreuth, Plankenhammer and Weikersmühle, which were already mentioned in two earlier books, were missing in this hall book.

17th century

During the Thirty Years' War in 1620 and 1621 the Mansfeld soldiers marched through Fehrsdorf. They robbed the farmers of money, cattle, grain, food, clothing, linen, beds, copper pans and pots, tools, weapons, etc., fished the ponds, and burned and destroyed the farms. A damage list for Fehrsdorf from 1621 showed a total of 366 guilders and 47 cruisers.

In 1650 the hereditary homage to Count Palatinate of Palatinate-Sulzbach Christian August took place in the courtyard of the Friedrichsburg in Vohenstrauss . Fehrsdorf appears on the tribute list with the 3 farm owners: Georg Lindtner, Niclas Stich, Christoph Kohler.

18th century to the present

A description by the Princely Nursing Office Floßerbürg from 1704 recorded 3 teams, one farm, 2 half farms for Fehrsdorf.

In a historical-statistical description of the Floß maintenance office from 1794, 3 farmers, 1 shepherd, a total of 24 residents were listed for Fehrsdorf.

Fehrsdorf belonged to the tax district and the rural community Bergnetsreuth, which was formed at the beginning of the 19th century. In addition to Bergnetsreuth with its mill, the hamlets of Fehrsdorf, Pauschendorf, and Welsenhof and the wilderness of Wilkershof also belonged to the Bergnetsreuth tax district. The Bergnetsreuth tax district had a total of 190 residents and 19 residential buildings.

The village of Fehrsdorf had 21 inhabitants and 4 residential buildings in 1817, 26 inhabitants in 1861 and 19 inhabitants and 4 residential buildings in 1961. On January 1, 1972, the municipality of Bergnetsreuth and thus also Fehrsdorf was incorporated into the Floß market.
