At 1634 m, Goat Mountain is the second highest mountain in the Denton Hills in East Antarctica, Victoria Land, after Mount Kowalczyk, 1.5 km further north . It rises west of the Hobbs Glacier between Hobbs Peak and Mount Kowalczyk.
Participants in a campaign carried out by Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions from 1960 to 1961 climbed it. They named him as an approximately 10 m high formation of gneiss on the south slope of the mountain in silhouette of a goat ( english goat ) is similar.
