history

The first documentary mention took place around 1120 as "Walestat" ("home of the Romanes "). Waldstetten was raised to the market in 1417. The market was Obervogtamt der Kommende Rohr and Waldstetten of the Teutonic Order - Ballei Alsace-Burgundy , whose seat was Waldstetten.
