The Burgstall Braunsbach is an abandoned medieval moated castle of the type of a tower hill castle (Motte) in the area of the Hofweg in Braunsbach , a current district of Fürth in Bavaria .
history
The castle, built by the lords of Braunsbach, who were presumably servants of the Nuremberg Imperial Castle, was mentioned in 1242–55 with Marquard von Braunsbach. It is not known when the castle, of which no remains have been preserved, was destroyed or razed . On the original cadastral map from the 19th century you can still see the former location of the tower hill castle.
