history

Braunsbach was created in 9/10. Century as a clearing settlement. It was first mentioned in a document in 1246 as "Brunspach". The place name is derived from an identical water body name, the defining word of which is the personal name Brun (o). In Braunsbach there was the lost tower castle Burg Braunsbach .

Towards the end of the 18th century, Sack formed a community with Bislohe and Braunsbach. There were 9 properties in Braunsbach. The high court exercised the imperial city of Nuremberg , which was disputed by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Oberamt Baiersdorf . The Landpflegamt Nürnberg was in charge of the village and community . The landlords were the Landesalmosenamt Nürnberg (1 half yard), the Nuremberg owners of Ebner (1 estate), von Haller (3 half yards, 1 Seldengut, 1 house), von Holzschuher (1 half yard), von Tucher (1 estate). The shepherd's house was under the authority of the community.

As part of the municipal edict, Braunsbach was assigned to the Buch tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Buch, founded in 1813 . With the second community edict (1818) Braunsbach was re-grouped into the newly formed rural community Sack. In the voluntary jurisdiction, 5 properties from 1823 to 1848 were subordinate to the Bislohe Patrimonial Court , 1 property from 1823 to 1835 to the Lohe Patrimonial Court and 1 property from 1822 to 1834 to the Almoshof Patrimonial Court . In the 1810s, the Bavarian original cadastre shows a clustered village with twelve hearths under the name "Bransbach".
