history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1239, when the Würzburg Bishop Hermann I of the Teutonic Order Commander Nuremberg transferred goods to "Stadelen". The place name is derived from the Old High German word "stadal" (= field barn).
Towards the end of the 18th century there were 24 properties in Stadeln (4 half courtyards, 7 quarter courtyards, 8 small farms, 1 tavern, 1 tavern, 2 houses, 1 small fish house). The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach city bailiff Langenzenn . The Bamberg cathedral provost office in Fürth was the landlord of all properties.
As part of the municipal edict, the Stadeln tax district was formed in 1808 , to which the towns of Königsmühle and Mannhof belonged. In the same year the rural community of Stadeln was founded, which was congruent with the tax district. The municipality was under the administration and jurisdiction of the Nuremberg Regional Court and the financial administration of the Fürth Rent Office ( renamed the Fürth Tax Office in 1920 ). From 1862, Stadeln was administered by the Fürth district office (renamed the Fürth district in 1938 ). In 1862 jurisdiction was transferred to the Fürth District Court , and since 1880 it has been with the Fürth District Court . Between 1875 and 1885, the village of Vach Bahnhof was founded in the municipality . In 1961, the municipality of Stadeln had an area of 6.427 km².
Stadeln formerly belonged to the Fürth district and became part of the city of Fürth on July 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

religion
Christianity
After Stadeln had belonged to the Fürth parish of St. Michael since the Middle Ages, the first church was built in October 1927. It was an old, wooden pilot's barracks from the nearby Atzenhof air base, which was closed after the First World War, which was used in Stadeln until the Christ Church was rebuilt (inauguration on October 26, 1958). The preaching position was supervised by St. Michael and the service took place every two weeks until 1952. In September 1959 Stadeln received a Protestant pastor with the first pastor Theodor Vogel. The Evangelical Lutheran Christ Church and the Catholic Trinity Church can be found in the center of the village . Both churches were only built after the Second World War. Due to the settlement of refugees and displaced persons, the population rose from around 500 to around 3,000 people (today it is around 6,000). This made the establishment of their own parishes and appropriate locations necessary. In 1958 the Christ Church was built. The Catholic Church was consecrated in 1974. Both parishes maintain a lively ecumenical movement .
Greek Orthodox
Many Greek citizens live in barns. The primary school even had its own Greek class. The believers of the Greek Orthodox Church celebrate irregular services in the Catholic Trinity Church.
Festivals and customs
The Stadelner Kirchweih (Kärwa) takes place annually on the last weekend in August. The Kärwaburschen move through the streets of Stadeln together with the Kärwa youth on Friday afternoon and then set up the children's Kärwa tree. On Saturdays, the large Kärwa tree is set up by the Kärwa boys. An ecumenical service takes place in the marquee on Sunday. On Sunday afternoon, the big parade of Stadeln clubs pulls through Stadeln. The traditional morning pint takes place in the marquee on Monday morning, followed by the Karwaburschen and Madli dance in the late afternoon. The Kärwa ends with the senior afternoon and the Kärwa funeral in the evening.
In Stadeln there is an old water wheel on the Regnitz , which used to be used to irrigate the adjacent fields and is now rebuilt every year for the summer season. In his honor there is a big water wheel festival in Stadeln every year.
