Bremenstall

Bremenstall (colloquial: "Brēmeʳschdōl") is a desert in the municipality of Fürth in Middle Franconia .

geography

The former wasteland was at an altitude of 283  m above sea level. NHN on the left bank of the Regnitz . Today only the field name Bremerstaller Wiesen reminds of the place.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1446 as "Bremenstail". Bremstall is a field name that occurs quite often in southern Germany. It is used to describe a place where the cattle are protected from the horseflies . To the courtyard that was built in the 17th / 18th In the 19th century, with two estates in Herboldshof, it was owned by the Nuremberg patrician family Volckamer , originally four days of meadows, three acres of fields and a fishing water belonged to it. In 1774 the farm was considered deserted.

Towards the end of the 18th century there was a fisherman's house in Bremenstall. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Cadolzburg . The landlord was the Bamberg cathedral provost office in Fürth .

As part of the municipal edict, Bremenstall was assigned to the Unterfarrnbach tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Unterfarrnbach , which was founded in the same year . On January 1, 1918, Bremenstall was incorporated into Fürth. After 1950 the place is no longer listed in the place directories.

The place has been Protestant since the Reformation. The inhabitants of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination were parish to St. Michael (Fürth) .
