Herboldshof (colloquially: "Heʳboldshūf") is a district of the Middle Franconian city of Fürth in Bavaria .
geography
The village is located 5 kilometers north of the city center of Fürth in a Latvian plain on Keuper layers above the Regnitzgrund, which runs 1 km to the west . The Bucher Landgraben , a left tributary of the Gründlach , flows southwest through the village. In the west are the Loheäcker, in the south the Hempelsäcker, which is a protected landscape area.
The county road FÜs 4 / N 3 runs after Mannhof to state road 2242 (1 km northwest) or to Großgründlach (1.5 km east). The FÜs 5 leads to Stadeln to the St 2242 (1.4 km southwest).
history
To the north of Herboldshof there was a 1.2 hectare settlement of prehistoric times, which is designated as a ground monument with number D-5-6431-0075, with D-5-6431-0067 a settlement of the Urnfield and late Latène times and with D- 5-6431-0066 a settlement of the early bronze and urnfield times with medieval desertification on another 3.5 hectares. In the Middle Ages, the cities of Nuremberg and Fürth used to transport large quantities of faeces to the northern areas and dump them there at the edges of the forest and streams. Over the centuries, the nutrient-rich cultivated soils of the garlic country developed from the previously rather barren sand and Latvian soil . Herboldshof has been a rural settlement in the middle of this area for an unknown time. In 1504 the place was first mentioned as "Herbolczhoff". The defining word of the place name is the personal name Herbolt.
Towards the end of the 18th century there were 7 properties in Herboldshof. The high court exercised the imperial city of Nuremberg , which was disputed by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Oberamt Baiersdorf . The Landpflegamt Nürnberg was in charge of the village and community . The lords of the land were the Nuremberg owners of vonöffelholz (1 half yard, 4 estates) and von Volckamer (2 estates).
As part of the community edict, Herboldshof was assigned to the tax district formed in 1813 and the rural community of Buch . With the second community edict (1818) Herboldshof was re-grouped into the newly formed rural community Boxdorf . In the voluntary jurisdiction, 5 properties were subordinate to the Gibitzenhof Patrimonial Court from 1825 to 1835 .
When the Ludwig-Danube-Main Canal , which ran directly to the east, reached the place in the 1840s , this brought an enormous economic boom. Lock 82 was built and the light cavalry moved into a training camp there. In the 1950s the Ludwig Canal was abandoned and filled in in the 1960s.
Another very eventful year with further economic recovery was 1972 with the federal motorway 73 on the former route of the old canal and the incorporation to Fürth as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
Herboldshof is still predominantly agricultural. Field management has partly given way to early crops in huge greenhouses. (See aerial photo at web links) As a residential area, the area has remained unattractive. The location of the town between the Nuremberg – Bamberg (S-Bahn) line, the A 73 (Frankenschnellweg) and directly below the flight path to Nuremberg Airport (Albrecht-Dürer-Airport), which opened in 1955, resulted in a high level of noise and light pollution .
