The Burgstall Burgfarrnbach , also known as the upper seat , is an abandoned medieval moated castle in Burgfarrnbach , a current district of the independent city of Fürth in Bavaria .

The castle was probably built by the von Braunsbach lords. 1242–55 a Marquard von Braunsbach is named with the castle. The castle complex was demolished in 1711.

The lower seat refers to the moated castle founded by Balthasar Wolf von Wolfsthal in the 16th century on the area of today 's Burgfarrnbach Castle .
