The Zuckerberg , also called Turmhügelburg Lange Brede , is an expired medieval moth (Turmhügelburg) of unknown class assignment southeast of the village of Kleinenberg , town of Lichtenau in the Paderborn district in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .

Surname

The name "Zuckerberg" possibly goes back to "mons sacrum", in English "Holy Mountain", while the original name of the castle is unknown. In the literature it is also referred to as the tower hill castle 'Lange Brede'.

location

The Zuckerberg is 1800 m southeast of Kleinenberg west of the federal highway 68 .

description

It forms an oval, about 1.60 to 3.50 m high and clearly visible hill with a flat top of a maximum of 31 × 23 m. The total circumference is about 170 m. A ditch around the layer of sandstone and earth, interpreted as a medieval tower hill , can no longer be seen.

Todays use

The Zuckerberg is made up of oaks and, as a protected landscape component , group of trees on the cultural monument tower hill as a habitat for plants and animals, to preserve the landscape and because of its cultural-historical importance as a ground monument tower hill according to the landscape plan of the city of Lichtenau .

Since neither written sources nor archaeological finds are known about the castle complex , which has not yet been archaeologically examined , no further information can be given.
