The moth icks , even Ickter courtyard called, is a Outbound high medieval hill fort of the type of moth (motte) in Düsseldorf district Unterrath in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The castle was built in the second half of the 12th century. The keep had a footprint of 9 by 12 meters. In the Middle Ages, the area in which the moth lay was called the "Ickter Mark". In a record from the 15th century, the " wisdom of the Ickter Mark" is described. The current district of Düsseldorf- Lichtenbroich also belonged to this mark . The castle hill is still preserved from the former castle complex. The Ickter Hof was located on the former part of Kartäuserstraße, which now belongs to Düsseldorf Airport .
