The Tower Hill Schlössleshöppel is an Outbound medieval motte (moth) about 800 meters southeast of uppercase field , in the municipality of Hirschaid in the district of Bamberg in Bavaria . During demolition work around 1930, during which the tower hill was reduced to half its original height, bricks and fragments of stove tiles are said to have been found, but their whereabouts are unknown. The site is protected as a ground monument number D-4-6231-0011 “Medieval tower hill”.

description

The tower hill is located in the lowland directly on the western edge of the Tappenbach, south of the Falzbrunnen. This hill has a round base with a diameter of 20 meters, its height is still around 2.5 meters today. On its north-west side it is separated from the rising terrain by a 12 to 15 meter wide ditch , on the remaining sides the tower hill was protected by the swampy valley floor of the Trappbach.
