history

Oberkemmathen is the oldest part of the Langfurth community.

The Fraisch over Oberkemmathen was controversial. It was claimed by both the Ansbach Oberamt Wassertrüdingen and the Oberamt Dürrwangen in Oettingen- Spielberg . The imperial city of Dinkelsbühl wanted to assert them on their estates. Towards the end of the 18th century there were 19 properties and a community pastor's house in Oberkemmathen. The Ansbach administration office Forndorf held the village and community rulership . The landlords were the administration office Forndorf (1 blacksmith, 1 estate ), the administration office Röckingen (1 estate, 2 estate, 1 house, 2 half houses), the Württemberg Oberamt Weiltingen (1 estate) and the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl (Protestant church maintenance : 1 estate, 1 Gütlein; back room care: 1 mill, 1 estate; imperial salmon care: 2 estates; hospital: 1 estate, 2 half estate). From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Wassertrüdingen .

In 1806 Oberkemmathen came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the municipality edict in 1809 which was tax district and the Rural Municipality Oberkemmathen formed to or including the regions of Langfurth , Matzmannsdorf , Schlierberg and Stöckau belonged. Neumühle was given up by Dentlein in 1813 . With the second community edict (1818), two rural communities emerged:

  • Oberkemmathen with Matzmannsdorf, Neumühle and Schlierberg,
  • Stöckau with Langfurth.

As early as 1823, the rural community of Stöckau was reintegrated into Oberkemmathen. The sawmill was built around 1840 and the cutting mill around 1870 in the municipality. In 1961 the municipality had an area of 10.873 km².

The municipality of Oberkemmathen was under the administration and jurisdiction of the Wassertrüdingen regional court and the Wassertrüdingen tax office ( renamed Wassertrüdingen tax office in 1919 , Gunzenhausen tax office 1932–1973 , Ansbach tax office since 1973 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Wassertrüdingen until 1879, from 1879 to 1956 the district court Wassertrüdingen was responsible, from 1956 to 1970 the district court Gunzenhausen and from 1970 to 1973 the district court Dinkelsbühl , which has been a branch of the district court Ansbach since 1973 . The administration was taken over by the newly created Dinkelsbühl district office in 1862 (renamed the Dinkelsbühl district in 1938 ).

On November 11, 1968, the community was renamed after Langfurth. With the dissolution of the district of Dinkelsbühl in 1972, the community came to the district of Ansbach.
