Brüggelchen is a district of the municipality of Waldfeucht in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Heinsberg . The place lies between Waldfeucht-Mitte and Waldfeucht- Haaren . The Waldfeuchter brook flows through Brüggelchen.

history

In 1147, Brüggelchen was first mentioned in a document as Brugele , i.e. swampy lowland (cf. Bruch ), together with Frilinghoven . In 1797 Brüggelchen belongs to the Mairie Waldfeucht in the canton of Heinsberg in the Département de la Roer .

Attractions

  • The Marienkapelle is a hall building from 1846 with a baroque altar .
  • The Motte Bollerberg in Bollbergstrasse was created at the end of the 9th century to protect against Norman invasions.

traffic

The next junction is Heinsberg on the A 46 . On the Dutch side there is the possibility of entering the A2 / E25 motorway in the "Echt" area.
