The artificially raised motte Schneirersbuckel , including Upper Castle called, is one in the late Middle Ages Outbound Turmhügelburg (moth) behind Neustädterhof on the former Schneirersbuckel in Eisenbach , a district of Obernburg am Main in the district of Miltenberg in Bavaria .
history
The castle, which was probably destroyed in 1397 or 1400 and is said to have looked similar to the still existing Templar House in Amorbach , was a predecessor of the Bacheburg castle , which was built in 1403 and is also known as the Lower Castle . The owners are believed to be the Gayling von Altheim , but it is more likely that the castle, as a forerunner of the Bacheburg castle , belonged to the Bache von Neustadt , a branch of the Rosenbach family .
